SERIO, Mary (nee Morelli) of Westwood, NJ born in Newark, NJ, on Monday, August 19, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Emil Serio. Devoted mother of Angela Colello and her husband Joe; George Ann Salerno and her husband Peter; Irene Herring and her husband Steven. Dear sister of George Morell. Loving grandmother of Lisa, Peter, Jennifer, Kristin, Evan, Nathaniel and Alexander. Cherished great grandmother of Brittany, Alyssa, Sean, Peter, James, Nicholas, Emily, Brandon, Sara and Joseph.

She had been a self-employed seamstress. She was a parishioner of St. Andrew’s Church, Westwood, NJ where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, was on the Women’s Cornerstone Committee, and a member of the Sassys. She also belonged to the Senior Fellowship Group of Westwood and was a former member of the Rhythm Girls dance group.

Funeral Liturgy at Church of St. John the Baptist, Hillsdale, NJ on Friday at 10AM. Entombment, Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9PM.
