With heartbreaking love and condolences to Michael’s mother, Maureen, Maura, Jim  and his wife and daughter.  I had Michael as a First Grade student and always remember his beautiful smile and love for learning.  I was so proud when I learned he became a teacher and was so positive that he would be one of the best!  I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have known this fine young man!  Rest in peace my dear student!

Mr. Donahue had an incredible impact on countless lives, including mine. He was my English teacher for three years during middle school, and I can confidently say that he made a significant difference in both my academic journey and my personal growth. He was not only a remarkable leader but also an exemplary person, and his absence will be felt profoundly. Even in his passing, his spirit continues to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving a legacy that will be cherished for years to come. I want to extend my heartfelt prayers and support to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength and comfort in each other as you navigate the immense loss of such a loving family member.

To Mike's family, friends, and colleagues - 

I graduated with Mike from Le Moyne College and while I did not know him personally, I wanted to extend my condolences to all who loved and knew him. Based on the tributes, he clearly made a difference in many lives and embodied the values of service and goodness. Please know the Le Moyne family is with all of you during this difficult time.

Mr. Donoghue was my 8th grade English teacher back in 2011. He cared for every single student that had crossed his path. The reason why he was so memorable to me was because I was an incredibly shy and insecure kid, and he was one of those teachers that bring out the best in you. Out of dozens of teachers I went to for help, he was one the only one who opened his doors for me and everyone else when they needed support. It is truly a shame that we do not have teachers like this man, he is so memorable even 14 years after I graduated. Thank you for everything you did for your students and to the family, I am so sorry for your loss. He spoke about you guys all the time. 🤍

You won’t find a better human being.  Always ready to laugh or make someone laugh.  You will run out of positive adjectives to describe Mike.   He leaves a magnificent legacy and a tremendous void.

I am truly heartbroken for what happened to you and your family. May there be a silver lining to this tragedy. May God's blessings rain down on you all like a gentle storm. Mike, you were an awesome guy! I want to thank you so much for being so kind and supportive of me in my first year at 143. I didn't know what I was doing with the yearbook! Your collaboration, your tips and advice were beautiful. I respected and respect you. You are wise, so very cool and fluid. Like one of your students said, your soul is in a better place. May you rest in peace Mike. May you rest in peace.

Mike was  part of a very close family. The love and support they gave each other was evident. Not only was he a hero to all his family and friends. Well here, he is now a hero to so many other people who are now living a healthy life because of him. What an altruistic thing to do and it shows the kind of man he was. I hope the family has time to reflect on all the wonderful memories they had with Mike and to know that he’s going to be with them from heaven above

I will miss our chats and quick jokes! You were always so happy.  My heart is in million pieces. You are truly loved.

I had the pleasure of having this amazing person as a colleague for 1 school year, as I transitioned through a tough professional year… always had a kind word and always supportive !  I’m sending all my condolences to the family. Your loss is great, I pray the good lord keeps his soul in peace and under his grace and mercy. God bless his family and may  God provide you with all the strength you will need in these coming days. Goodbye and may you rest in peace
