

Michael S. Heller, age 82, of Oradell, New Jersey passed away on Friday, February 21st, 2025. He is predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Heller; his first wife, Cheryle Heller as well as his parents Helen and John Heller. He is survived by his wife E. Angie Heller; his daughters Jennifer Shaw and her husband Brian and Laura Little and her husband Brian; his stepson Conor Lloyd and his wife Madison as well as his 5 beloved grandchildren Jonathan, Caden, Kailyn, Braxton and Emmy.
Michael loved living an active life; spending time running, bicycling, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, gardening, reading, singing and spending time with family. He grew up in Shawnee, Pa with his cousins, Bill Carlton, Sandy Patton, and George Fuller. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Psychology.
At twenty-two, he married Cheryle Heller, his teenage sweetheart, whom he met while working as the Entertainment Director at Mountain Manor, a resort in the Poconos. Later, while serving for five years in the National Guard as a Medic, he moved to Baltimore, MD, where his daughter Jennifer was born, and then to Bangkok, Thailand, where his 2nd daughter Laura was born.
After two years, they moved back to the States to reside in Marlboro, NY, where he was an active member of the community and on any given morning could be seen running up the hills of the town. He worked for thirty years as Director of the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center at West Point, from where he retired after his wife Cheryle passed away.
In retirement, he was blessed with his five grandchildren, whom he adored. During this time, he met the second love of his life, Angie Heller, and his beloved stepson, Conor Lloyd. He moved to Oradell, NJ to live out the last years of his life.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Saturday, March 15th from 10AM-12PM with a Celebration of his life, faith and military service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, he wished that donations go toward a carillon that was purchased years ago in memory of his father.
