Milton R. Cole

Milton R. Cole, 87, a long time resident of Westwood, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 30, 2012 after a battle with cancer. Milt was predeceased by his wife Ellen, son Thomas and son Kenneth, also by his brother Russell Cole and sister Jean Stephen. He is survived by his daughter Keri Smith and her husband Fred, son James and his wife Kathleen; grandchildren Jason, Justin, Kevin, Kasie, Cody, Makenzie and Stephen; and great grandchildren Jacob, Cody and Hunter. Milt was a 55 year member of the Westwood Fire Department, past president on the NJ & NY Volunteer Fireman’s Association, and former county committeeman for the NJ State Fireman’s Association. The family will receive their friends on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM with a fireman’s service at 8 PM at Becker Funeral Home. There will be a chapel service at Becker Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ. In lieu of donations to the Community Hospice of Bergen County or to the Bergen County Home Association.

With my deepest sympathy for your loss. Uncle Milt was a wonderful man and I treasure that he was a part of my life. I will miss him dearly but I'm comforted knowing that he will again be with Ellen, Tom, Kenny ane my Dad and Mom. With these five angels looking over us, we will be extra blessed. Dear Kerry Jim and Family, Your Dad was a fine GENTLMAN!! It was an honor and privilege to work with him,he lead WFD in so many positions yet his focus was to make and keep the WFD to be the best it could be with no agenda, The only ones that he loved more than WFD were his Children &Grand children.God Bless you all,stay strong and take the best care of each other!!!
