

Born on June 21, 1963 in Queens, New York, Nick was the son of Ellen Krohn, née Martin, and John Krohn and grew up in Cresskill, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1985 with a degree in economics and statistics and a track record of varsity hurdling. Nick went on to have a fulfilling career as President and CEO of Krohn Industries as a metallurgical engineer.
Loved by many, Nick was known for being charismatic, intelligent, funny, and genuine. An avid sports fan, he rooted for the New Jersey Devils, the New York Giants, the New York Mets, and the New York Yankees. He was deeply passionate about history, science, reading, Native American culture, paranormal investigation, and politics. His love for his family was shown in the countless sacrifices he made, always putting their happiness and well-being before his own, even when it wasn’t easy; shaping their lives with quiet strength and selflessness. He was charitable, generous, and dedicated both time and wealth to serving his community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Damian Krohn, née Rizzuto; his beautiful children, Olivia Ingram, née Krohn, Nicholas Krohn, and Matthew Krohn, as well as Olivia’s husband, Bryce Ingram; his sisters Anne Marie and Nora and their families; his sister-in-law Suzanne McMahon, née Rizzuto, his brother-in-law Brendan McMahon, and his nieces Cara McMahon and Jillian McMahon; and his beloved pets Cocktail, Jackson, and Bandit. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and John Krohn as well as his brother-in-law Daniel Rizzuto.
The wake will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 3-8pm, at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, New Jersey. The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at St Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Old Tappan, New Jersey. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Nick’s life.
