

Patricia “Pat” Rodrick (Nee Annette), longtime resident of Westwood, NJ, died peacefully on March 9, 2025 at Sunrise Senior Living, Woodcliff Lake, NJ, her home of almost two years. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Pat attended Holy Family High School, Union City, NJ (Class of 1960). After graduating from Jersey City State College, Pat taught 6th Grade for several years in Harrington Park, NJ before settling in Westwood where she devoted herself to raising her family with her husband Ed. For many years Pat was very active in the St. Andrews Church community where she also served as a Eucharistic minister, taught C.C.D. and served as a sponsor for Pre-Cana.
After spending ten years in Gaithersburg, MD, Pat fully retired to St. James (Southport, NC) in 2006. Pat enjoyed her many years in St. James where she was involved in community activities, and, with her outgoing personality, effortlessly made long lasting friendships. Pat also enjoyed traveling, and she always loved when family came down to visit.
Pat was a one-of-a-kind personality who made friends easily with her keen wit and wicked sense of humor. Pat was immensely proud of her Jersey City roots and took great pride and joy in her family and friendships. Never one to miss a great story, Pat was also quick to lend a helping hand and was always there to listen. She also found humor in just about any situation.
Pat is pre-deceased by her beloved husband Edward Rodrick Sr. of 36 years, and her brother, Robert Annette. She is survived by her sister Austine McCarthy, and brother Edward Annette. Pat was the proud mother of her daughter Renee Harper and husband Wayne of Westwood, NJ, and her son Edward Rodrick and wife Christine of Franklin, MA. She was the loving Grandmother to Christopher Harper and his fiancée Laura Scheideler, Cassandra Harper, and Jenna and Edward Rodrick III. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation for Patricia's family and friends will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A committal will occur Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652.
