

PETER BORRELLI, 90, of Fort Lee, NJ passed away Sunday July 18, 2021 surrounded by family and close friends. Mr. Borrelli was a resident of Fort Lee since 1962 and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria “Tina” Borrelli.
Born in Sant’Agata d’Esaro in the region of Calabria, Italy on June 26, 1931 to Giovanni Borrelli and Angelina Scilingo, Mr. Borrelli immigrated to the United States in 1949 where he initially settled in Pennsylvania and attended high school. He proudly served in the United States Army in the Screaming Eagles Division as a paratrooper.
While in the reserves, Mr. Borrelli began his career in the building industry by studying construction methods and estimating in Buffalo, NY. He and his bride Tina subsequently relocated to New Jersey, where he joined Raimondo Construction, one of the leading general construction companies in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. He served as VP/Chief Estimator for Raimondo Construction for over 50 years.
Mr. Borrelli is predeceased by his brother, Mario (Gino) Borrelli and his sister, Carmelina Borrelli. He is survived by three children and their spouses, John Borrelli (Siegrid), William Borrelli (Mariano) and Nancy Arcuri (Giancarlo), and his grandsons, Luca, Piero and Paolo. Mr. Borrelli is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, in Italy.
Visitation at Becker Funeral Home,219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 3 – 8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas R.C. Church, Palisades Park, NJ on Friday July 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ.
