Peter Rasmussen

Born on August 12, 1938, Peter proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was a faithful fan of the NY Giants and NY Mets. In earlier years, Peter traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe, including many visits to Norway visiting much loved family. He also enjoyed outings to Atlantic City with his favorite cousin Claire, and her husband John.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Peter Rasmussen, Sr. and Alfhild, as well as his dear sister Ruth Auer. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Irene Klauss and her husband Albert; brother-in-law Bill Auer; nieces Karen Klauss and her husband Raleigh Griffith, Ingrid Klauss, and Sherry DiGrande and her husband Jim; nephew Jim Auer; and great-nieces and nephews Charles, Kendall, April, Anthony, Connor, Ryan, and Mackenzie. Spending time with family was his greatest pleasure, especially including extended family, The Parretts.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ. A prayer service will take place at 6:00 p.m. during the visitation. Graveside services will follow on Wednesday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenfield Cemetery in Hempstead, NY.
