Rachel & I were close friends in the mid seventies, between Shorehaven, Chinese take out & a different Broadway show when we were very young ( Aquarius, Jesus Christ Superstar  to name a few ) We formed quite a bond, she taught me  to appreciate Rock Music of that era, too many to mention except for Jackson Browne & Billy Joel which eventually became part of my life. Rache was such a wonderful & loving soul, a true old soul. She loved her family so much. We hadn’t spoke in 40 years, but I still felt the bond. I never got to meet her new family, but from the photos that I’ve seen, the beauty is still there, my deepest condolences to her husband & her daughters & of course to Mike & Ben   Peace to you all 

Rachel and I became young mothers around the same time , we lived on the same block and shared many happy young family memories together . I watched as her family grew , as did her love for all of her wonderful girls . We Co/chaired lots of school events together  in our daughters younger years . As they got older and ours lives drifted apart , it was always so good to bump into Rachel around town and share stories of our girls .  
This Mother’s broken heart is so sadden that these young women are now without their  mother , as I am without my child . I wrap my broken heart around you all ! And know that her love for you all  will live  forever ! As will your love for her . 💔


Rachel and I went to high school and college together.  We had front row seats to Rod Stewart and I think we saw the Moody Blues together too. To Benji: I remember Rachel bringing you with her many times when we were younger. She was super protective and always extremely loving towards you. The two of you were always happy and laughing. It's no surprise what an amazing mother and wife she became. Rachel was the sweetest of all of us (back in the day) and her passing  is heartbreaking.  Linda

Rachel was the smiling face that we could count on most mornings checking us in to Jazzercise. 
I found out at one of our Jazzercise luncheons that we were a year apart at John F Kennedy High School. 
Rachel was caring, fun, personable, and many great things.  She was definitely a proud Mom!

I just had to watch the greatest big sister leave the world.  She used to let me slink into her room early Saturday and Sunday mornings to watch my cartoons in front of her bed with volume low and when she’d wake up I’d jump in bed and snuggle up with her and we’d watch together.  My sister took me to McDonald’s on demand and the Nanuet Mall and we’d break off and I’d go to the toy stores and we’d meet up at a designated spot and time.  And, when I missed the bus for school more than a couple times I could rely on her to save my ass from the wraith of my parents by dropping me off and risk being late to work, herself.  We’d run around the house chasing each other playing tag, conspire together to prank our brother Michael, have slap fights and curse fights.  All the times she bought me candy on Valentine’s Day and Peeps around Easter.  Also, all these years making her beautiful family:  Al, Sarah, Erika, Shaina, Molly, Leah, and the pups my family. . . always having a birthday cake for me.  Basically, she had a hard time saying no to me.  Finally, now just being reminded what an outsized source of love and friendship she had been in my life is such an enormous hole in my heart.  I’ll miss you Rachel.

I met Rachel approximately 10 years ago when I joined Jazzersize.  Rachel was in charge of registration etc.  Through the years, in addition to seeing each other  in class, we often went out to lunch  with other class members.  She was very proud of her daughters and kept us all informed of their achievements.  She was a lovely friend and I will miss her.  My deepest sympathy to her family.  




  



I remember the days I was the big brother guardian of my "little" sister.  In more innocent days we used to take the subway from the Bronx, NY to my grandfather's dry cleaning store on 88th street and Park Avenue every Friday afternoon for about a year.  Me, a 12 year old, she 7 years old.  My mom entrusted me to take care of her princess.  Despite the age we were two savvy and street smart kids.  Also, the old brother and sister double standard.  Me, I could be out all night without any contact.  Rachel, 1 minute after midnight, my parents would excoriate her.  Their princess and deservedly so.  Also, she had a pretty good taste for rock music, I often grabbed her tunes for my listening pleasure.

Rachael was a beautiful person inside and out. But I admire her so much as a mother of 5 girls a constant dedicated cheerleader to all 5 girls and a wonderful, dedicated loving wife to Alfred, We know you will always be watching over your family ❤️🙏 RIP Rachael we will see you again, Love Lisa and Greg 

So deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Rachel. So many great memories of her from the many years of the gang of kids playing together on Cardinal Lane. She adored her family and I know she will always look out for all of you from heaven. Sending all our love and strength for the coming days.
