Ralph Francis Galano

GALANO, Ralph F, 84, of Westwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17th, 2017. Beloved husband and high school sweetheart to Jean (nee Cavanaugh), recently celebrating their 64 years of marriage; adored father of Pamela Corso and her husband Gabriel, Loretta Ann LaGratta and her husband Michael, late son Francis and his wife Jolaine and Jacqueline Woods and her husband John; loving Poppa of Francis, Krista, Jennifer, Taylor, Jessica, Frankie, Brandon and Madison as well as his five granddogs Harley, Max, Sparky, Spencer and Chipper. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ralph served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. Ralph worked for the New York Daily News where he retired after 45 years of service. He was a parishioner of R.C. Church Of The Assumption and the Knights Of Columbus Council #5819. He was a warm and loving man gifted with generosity of spirit and kindness to others, an intuitive intelligence and keen wit. Ralph’s dedication and love for his family brought him the greatest joy. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, November 21st from 2-8PM. A Mass celebrating Ralph’s life and faith will be held at R.C. Church Of The Assumption in Emerson, NJ on Wednesday, November 22nd at 10AM with entombment at Garden Of Memories in Township Of Washington, NJ to follow.
