Richard P. Edwards, 88 of Hillsdale, NJ passed away on July 7, 2013. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was raised in Yonkers before moving to Hillsdale, NJ 52 years ago. Richard was a WWII Navy Veteran and a past Cub Scout Master of St. John’s Cub Scout Pack 91 in Hillsdale, NJ. He retired as a transportation manager for American Can Co. in New York. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Winifred (Reifeiss) Edwards; his sons, Richard P. Jr., David and his wife Elaine and Stephen Edwards and his three grandchildren, Thomas, Kiah and Christine. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Family and friends can gather for a 10am funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church, Hillsdale, NJ on Thursday morning with the interment to follow in Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation, PO Box, 96318, Washington, DC 20090-6318 in Richard’s memory.
