Richard J. Fox

FOX, Richard John III, PE; LS, 93, of New Milford, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, passed away Wednesday, December 11th, 2019. Richard was originally from Cliffside Park, NJ and moved to New Milford, NJ in 1950. He graduated from Cliffside Park High School and enjoyed being on their football team. He was in the Navy as a Fire Controlman 3rd Class during WWII. He attended NCE in Newark, NJ, which is now NJIT, receiving his B.S. in Civil Engineering along with acquiring his Land Surveyors License. He worked as a civil engineer for McClave & McClave Civil Engineers and worked with James McClave and Thomas G. Fox. McClave & McClave was purchased by Boswell Engineering of South Hackensack, NJ in the mid-1980's. He was very happy working for the Boswell family. He was an active member of the Bergen County Society Of Engineers. He is survived by his daughter Jackie Marraffini; grandsons Daniel Marraffini and Thomas Marraffini; son Richard J. Fox IV and his wife Danita as well as grandsons Richard J. Fox V and Tyler Fox. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Fern Felicia Fox.
