Richard was born on January 21, 1949, to the late Arthur and Charlotte Lorenz. He grew up in River Vale, NJ with brothers Karl and Arthur before moving to Park Ridge, NJ with his wife to raise their family.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Barbara; his children Michael (Alison) Lorenz, Stephanie (Louis) Romano, Andrew (Amanda) Lorenz, and Katherine (Adam) Sienkeiwicz; and his ten adored grandchildren Willamena, Nicholas, Ryan, Louis James, Kody, Gabriella, Devon, Calvin, Athena, and Margot.
He loved nature walks and fishing in the parks of NJ. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite thing to do was cheer on his grandkids at various sporting events and performances. We miss him dearly.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday June 25, 2026, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM with a celebration of life commencing at 5:00PM.
