In loving memory of Richard Luzzi from Closter NJ, who passed away on August 5th, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Connie, loving father of daughter Kim and son-in-law Eric Oakes, son Richard and daughter-in-law Tami Luzzi, dedicated Pop-Pop to Kailee Oakes, Emma Oakes and Brinley Luzzi
Richard was born on September 7th, 1943 to Dominic and Mildred Luzzi. After graduating from Teaneck High School in 1961, he had a brief career in mens fashion which was his first love while serving in the National Guard as a staff sergeant at the Teaneck Armory. He then entered into the family business where he owned and operated Jeremy Printing in Manhattan for 45+ years.
One of the kindest souls on this planet, Rich was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.
Early in life, Richard learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on. He taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right.
Although Richard will be truly missed he will live on through each person that had the honor to know him . The funeral service will be held at Beckers Funeral Home in Westwood NJ on August 8th at 2pm-6pm. In lieu of Flowers the family ask you make a donation to Villa Marie Claire Hospice Center, 718 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck NJ 07666 or you can donate online at www.villamarieclaire.org/inmemoryof
