Robert and Ethel Carman

Robert Carman, 93 passed away on September 25, 2024 and his beloved wife Ethel Carman, 87 passed away on September 10, 2024. They both lived in Pompano Beach, FL previously from Hopewell Junction, NY.

Robert was born in Haverstraw, NY, and graduated from Haverstraw High School. He was stationed in New Mexico during the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army. Before retiring, he had worked many years as a wiring technician for the Singer Corporation, Peekskill, NY and Hipotronics/Hubble, Brewster, NY.

Ethel was born in Brooklyn, NY, attended the Red School House, New Hempstead, NY and graduated from Spring Valley High School.

Robert and Ethel were married on July 27, 1957. They spent 22 years in Hopewell Junction, NY before moving to Florida. They were members of Boca West Methodist Church, Boca Raton, FL and considered Deerfield Beach, FL as their "happy place".

Robert and Ethel were the devoted parents of Lori Moss and her husband Skip and Neal Carman and his wife Maria. Loving grandparents of Shannon Moss (Ethel's strawberry shortcake), Ryan Moss, Matthew Carman and his wife Bridget, and Christian Carman. Cherished great grandparents of Gordon Carman and Vergil Domitilo Diazdeleon. They are also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for Robert and Ethel on Saturday, June 7, 2025 11AM at Brick Church Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
