Robert Looes

Robert (Bob) Looes, age 82, of Hillsdale, NJ, formerly of Maywood, NJ passed away on November 24, 2023. Beloved husband of 57 years of Patricia R. Looes (nee Dunleavy), devoted father of Andrea Bird and her husband Robert of Centerville, GA and Justine Looes of Hillsdale. Devoted grandfather (PopPop) of Leo, Bennett, Elsie Bird of Centerville, GA and Ryan Capogna of Hillsdale. He is also survived by his brother, John Looes of Hillsdale, brother-in-law Tom of New York City, sister-in-law Christine (Bill) of Oakland, NJ, and sister-in-law Sheila of Oakland, NJ as well as many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Bob was a manger in the electrical engineering department of Consolidated Edison Co. of New York. Bob retired after 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 142 in Maywood, NJ. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Yankees fan. He also enjoyed gardening, tending to his pool, and woodworking. In lieu of flowers, donations to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Robert Looes are appreciated.
