Born in Brooklyn, Bob made his home in the Township for 54 years, where he and his wife Sandy raised their family and built a life centered on faith, family, and friends. A devout Catholic, he was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) church and community.
An electrical engineering degree coupled with an MBA, Bob spent decades building his career as a business leader at both Westinghouse and Sony Music Entertainment. He never really clocked out of the engineering side, though. If you had an electrical problem, Bob was the man to call. If it was a technical or financial problem, a spreadsheet was sure to follow. Some of his proudest work was done at OLGC, where his electrical expertise helped enhance the church for the whole community.
Bob had a dry, measured sense of humor and an unwavering desire to help anyone who needed it. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family hopes you’ll remember him with a good story and a laugh, the way he would have wanted.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sandy, who passed in 2024, and by his brothers James and David. He is survived by his children Rob and his wife Margaret, Jen, and James; his grandchildren Larissa Sevold, L’Ceondra Lopez, Gabrielle Wipper-Holmes, Samantha McDaniel, and Bella Wipper; and his great-grandchildren Eddie “EJ” Lopez Jr. and Rowan Wipper-Holmes. He is also survived by his sisters Irene and Susan, and by his best friends Dick and Delores Smith and Alex Hazen, whose wife Barbara preceded Bob in death.
The family will celebrate Bob’s life and faith with a Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel on Saturday, November 7th, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. All friends and family are welcome. Flowers may be sent to Our Lady of Good Counsel.
