Roberta H. Hanlon, aged 77, a long-time resident of Palm Coast Florida, formerly of Oradell, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 surrounded by her family after a long illness. Roberta, affectionately known as “Bobbie” waged a valiant fight against breast cancer for more than twenty-five years. She never let her illness define her or limit her aspirations in any way. She was a School Business Administrator and retired from the Paramus Board of Education in 2000. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Hochman. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of fifty-seven years, Marty, and their three children and their spouses, Deborah (Scott), Joseph (Carrie) and Robert (Rachel). She was blessed with six grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Amanda, Skylar, Aiden, and Gavin, all of whom she adored and was so proud of each of their accomplishments big and small. She additionally received the gift of two great-grandchildren, Starla and Luna. She is also survived by her brother- in- law John Hanlon and her sister-in -law Barbara Shaw and her husband Horace Shaw, several nieces and nephews, many cousins and devoted friends who held a special place in her heart. Family and friends will be received Sunday, May 6th from 1-5PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ.
