Rosa DiCapua September 26, 1931 – May 9, 2020 On Saturday, May 9, 2020, Rosa DiCapua, passed away peacefully at her home in Woodcliff Lake, NJ at the age of 88, after a long illness. Rosa was born in Pietragalla, Italy. She was a loving wife to Michael DiCapua who predeceased her in 2012 at the age of 92. They raised two beautiful daughters, Anna and Jenny, at their home in Bronx, New York. Rosa is survived by her daughter Anna and her husband, Steve White and her daughter Jenny and her husband, Andre’ DiMino. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Michael and his wife Lena, and Noelle and her husband Sam Williams. Rosa has six great-grandchildren, Sean, Brayden, Nathan and Declan White; and, Connor and Mason Williams. Rosa started her working career as a fashion designer in New York City. After marrying she went to Paris to be with her husband who was working there in the fashion industry. They then emigrated to the United States and she then devoted her life to raising her family. After raising her two daughters Rosa and her husband moved to Long Island, New York. Her family enjoyed her great Italian cooking especially her special Lasagna with mini-meatballs and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren looked forward to her famous pancake breakfasts. And, she entertained everyone with her excellent piano musical talents. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Woodcliff Lake, NJ to live with her daughter Jenny and her husband Andre’. She enjoyed accompanying them to outings with the local UNICO chapter and spending Labor Day weekends at LaFesta Italiana in Scranton, PA where she was welcomed by all with open arms. In later years, after suffering health issues, her daughter Jenny would care for her fully, and was by her side when she passed from this life on Saturday, May 9, 2020. The day prior, thanks to video calls, she was able to see her extended family. If you ever had the chance to meet this wonderful woman, you would have felt her kindness and warmth. She will be missed by many and always be remembered in our hearts. Our world lost a beautiful angel.
