

Siok “Si” Hwan Go, age 91, of River Vale, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on December 29, 2024. Si is survived by and remembered as a beloved husband to Anglan “Lan”, devoted father to Sally Meumann (predeceased husband Bradley) and Sylvia Genoese (husband Nick), and adored grandfather to Ashley Genoese Gonzalez (husband Gabe), Nicholas Genoese and Christopher Si Meumann. Si is also survived by his dear brother Khie Go (wife Theresa), and his nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, great grand-nephew, great grand-niece, and many friends.
Si was born on April 27, 1933, in Surabaya, Indonesia, as the oldest of 4 siblings. Si and Lan recently celebrated 65 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Si and Lan moved to the USA with their daughters in the 1960s and were proud to receive their US Naturalization & Citizenship after being in the USA for 5 years. Si and his family resided in River Vale, NJ for over 45 years.
Si was a highly accomplished business professional with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, who enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career in the technology industry. His passion for cutting-edge technology drove him to work well into his 80s, contributing his expertise to many major technical companies and founding his own company.
Beyond his impressive career, Si loved to read. He read everything he could get his hands on, ever since he was a young child. This eventually developed into reading countless travel guides and doing meticulous research for planning the perfect vacation. During their decades of travel, Si and Lan visited five continents, 50 countries, and over 500 cities and travel destinations.
Si was a man of great integrity and has left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His legacy will be cherished, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service for Si will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675.
