Veronica M. Heisse

HEISSE, Veronica, M., (nee O’Hara),74, of Emerson, died peacefully on December 19, 2015, surrounded by her loving family and the compassionate caregivers at Care One in Westwood. Beloved wife of 54 years to Richard, her high school sweet heart. Devoted mother of Lisa Farrell and her husband Thomas and Robin Heisse. Dear brother of Patricia O’Hara and James O’Hara and his wife Gail. Dear grandmother of Andrew, Emily and Kevin Farrell. Also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Yonkers, NY, she lived in Bronx, NY and Fair Lawn before moving to Emerson in 1967. Veronica served as the Emerson Municipal Court Administrator for 23 years, retiring in 2008. She was a parishioner of the R.C. Church of the Assumption, Emerson, a member of the Rosary Society and was active in the CYO. Veronica was involved with the Juvenile Conference and the Youth Guidance Council of Emerson. She also was a member of the Paramus Women’s Club and Emerson Seniors. Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, on Tuesday, 4-8 pm. A mass will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption. Interment George Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
