Vitantonio Muti

Vitantonio Muti, 80, of Park Ridge, NJ formerly of Bergenfield, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was born in Hoboken, NJ to his parents Donato and Cecilia Muti. Loving husband to the late Judith Muti. He is predeceased by his son Anthony and grandson Joseph. Devoted father of Joseph Muti and his wife Maureen, Lori Murphy and her late husband Robert. Dear brother of Joseph Muti and his wife Gail, Phyllis Celentano and George, and Felicia Callagy and her husband Bob. Devoted grandfather (Poppy) of Jessica Muti, Ryan and Christina Murphy. Vito worked hard his entire life to make a better life for his family.

He is a retired firefighter from the Weehawken Fire Department where he was employed for 29 years. He also worked for CACE Trucking in Elizabeth for many years. He enjoyed his ‘55 Chevy old car collection, fast food runs and spending time with loved ones. He adored his grandchildren as they always brought a smile to his face. He was truly admired and loved by all.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, February 21 from 4-8PM. The service celebrating Vito’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 22 at 10AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
