It is with deep sadness that the family of Wendy Lynn Donlan, age 55 of Hillsdale, NJ announce her passing on October 22, 2026. After receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis, she passed away peacefully in her home holding hands with her husband and daughter.
Wendy graduated from the Academy of the Holy Angels and The Catholic University of America. She was the office manager for the family dental practice for over thirty years, but she always said the job most precious to her was being a mom.
Wendy’s infectious laughter paired with her thoughtfulness and devotion to those she loved made her the heart of her family. She was a support system for the entire family in times of celebration and times of need, always giving the biggest hugs and sound advice. Her sarcasm was unmatched, and she lit up every room with her presence. She loved what she called her “Thinking Chair” in the living room and used it to make her infamous lists, find solutions to any situation, and cozy up with her dog, Rory. She fought for everything and everyone she believed in, and she encouraged all those she loved to live their life to the fullest. Wendy felt her life was full of blessings and reminds her family of those blessings every day with the sign she had placed in their kitchen saying “Blessed.”
She is survived by her loving husband Scott of twenty-five years and daughter Kelly. Wendy cherished her family; her mother Roberta (Bonnie) Moore; her three siblings: Bonnie Jean Moore, Dr. Michael Moore (his wife Anne and their children Sean, Ryan, and Caitlin), and Megan Gerin (her husband Michael and their daughter Isabella), her uncle, John Moore (his wife Caryn, their daughter Alycia Da’Loia-Moore, her husband Adam Weinstein, and their daughters Amanda and Allison). She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Charles Moore. Wendy found more family she cherished through marriage; Scott’s parents David and Patricia Donlan, his three brothers Brian (his wife Pam and their children Noelle and Matthew), Kevin (his wife Terri and their children Kyle and Casey), and Glenn (his wife Becky and their sons Tyler, Alex, and Liam).
Family, friends and others whose lives Wendy touched are invited on Wednesday, October 28 to Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ for visitation from 4-9PM. A Prayer Service celebrating Wendy's life will begin at 7PM.
