Adam Ratell Parsons
January 16, 1998 – July 1, 2019
Adam Ratell Parsons January 16, 1998-July 1, 2019 Beloved son of Michelle Karen Mahoney and Joseph J. Parsons, Jr. is now resting in peace with God. Blessed relief....no more oxygen tanks, pulse oximeters, leg braces, shaky vests. No more late night emergencies, hospital stays, surgeries, BiPAP, seizures, wires or "drinky tubes". We will miss....hugs, kisses, crooked smiles, glasses in the garbage, "whispered secrets", hair stroking, endless Elmo videos, Snoopy everywhere and delighted full-body wiggles. Forever loved by their "little brother" is Andrew Joseph (Jennifer) Parsons of New Britain and Alysha (Eric) Cook of Stafford, Virginia. Adam is survived by his maternal grandparents Raymond “Papa” and Paula (Ratell) “Grammy” Mahoney of Tarpon Springs, Florida and his paternal grandmother Patricia (Nina) Parsons. Adam also leaves his Godparents Uncle Bob and Auntie "MB" Nolan of Prospect Heights, Illinois and additional Uncles and Aunts: Michael (Lisa) Mahoney of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Catherine Parsons of Windsor and David (Meyonna Caruso) Parsons of West Suffield. Additionally there are four little boys who were lucky enough to have an Uncle Adam. Aiden and Avery Parsons and Isaiah and Ilijah Cook. Curt "Dirt" Eaton of Windsor has been Adam's co-pilot in life. As Adam's nurse he not only provided the medical care Adam needed but enhanced his life by giving so much more including a means to communicate and endless social experiences. Also, a thank you to Karen Drao for her homecare services. Those impacted by Adam over the years include: Cousins Kyle, Katrina, Abby "Stinkerbell", "Big Bad" Ben, Alexander, Alex and Austin. As well as Patti Douglas, Denise Wagner, Hailey Caruso, Aunts Aggie, Barbara and Carol and Uncles Charlie and Tom. Adam will also be missed by his Dad's dog Daisy. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Joseph J. Parsons, Sr. A very special thank you to the entire staff of The Connecticut Children's Medical Center for the expertise and loving care of Adam from the day he was born until his last breath. Adam was loved a "bushel and a peck" by all but he has fulfilled his purpose here on earth. He has touched each of us deeply and we are forever changed. In the words of Adam.... "HOLD-ON" until we meet again. Funeral services will leave at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 6th from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation Parish (St. Mary’s Church), 626 Willard Avenue, Newington.
