

Alice B. (Gardner) Marcuccio, 73, of Cape Cod, formerly of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Paul P. Marcuccio, died peacefully Friday (May 21, 2010) at St. Francis Hospital with her daughter Linda, son-in-law Tommy and their children by her bedside. She was born April 17, 1937 in New York and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (McGrown) Gardner. Alice will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her devotion to her family and friends and her positive attitude even in the hardest of times. To sum up such an amazing woman in just a few words doesn't do her justice. The people who had the honor of knowing her are truly blessed. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Aiello and husband Tommy; son, Michael Marcuccio and wife Cindi, all of Enfield; and daughter, Donna Koseski and husband Stefan of North Carolina; grandchildren, Christopher Aiello, Tiffany (Aiello) Coughlin and husband Kevin, Jennifer Aiello, Melissa and Jason Marcuccio, and Philip and Brittany Grant; great-grandchildren, Kieran Coughlin and Makalya Marcuccio; a sister, Margaret Roscoe; sisters-in-law, Virginia Gardner and Ann Collins; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Gardner, brothers-in-law, Lester Roscoe and John Collins. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 27 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. The burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel.
