Anna (Evans) Clemens (97) was the loving wife of the late Richard F. Clemens Sr. and a resident of Wethersfield since 1964. She peacefully passed away Tuesday, December 5th. Anna was born February 4, 1926 and raised in Hartford and Rocky Hill. Daughter to the late William and Elizabeth (Nagy) Evans. She attended schools in both Rocky Hill and Hartford and graduated from Bulkeley High School, as part of the Class of 1944.A hard worker, Anna held administrative positions at several companies: Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Hartford Hospital, and HELCO (now Eversource) to name a few. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as gardening, baking, and entertaining. Every Christmas Eve was an event to be remembered and cherished by her loved ones.Her most important and cherished vocation was being a mother to their three sons. Anna will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving family. She is survived by her sons and their spouses: Richard and Maureen Clemens of Wethersfield, Timothy and Barbara Clemens of West Hartford, and Dennis and Nancy Clemens of Wethersfield, her ten adored grandchildren and their spouses:Timothy Jr. (Julie) , Lisa (Smith)(Brent), Jonathan (Lisa), Tyler (Racheal) Todd (Brit), Kyle (Chrissy), Shaunna, Ceili (Shmuel), Richard (Tara) and Padraic (Liz), her sixteen cherished great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews including her beloved niece Claudia DiGregorio Zocco of East Hartford. In addition to her husband Richard and her parents, Anna was predeceased by her sister Gertrude DiGregorio and her brothers Billy and Tommy Evans.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Clemens family on Monday December 11, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel (277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 10:30 am at Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, (601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield). Attendees are asked to go directly to the church. Internment will follow the Mass in The Village Cemetery (Harris Section), on Marsh St. in Wethersfield.
