Anthony Mirabello

Anthony Mirabello, 95, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of the late Rose (DiGalbo) Mirabello, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Anthony was born on December 15, 1930, in Hartford and was the son of the late Frank and Carmela (Infante) Mirabello. Anthony was a graduate of Bulkeley High School, Class of 1949. A talented athlete, Anthony was the Captain of his high school football team. His athletic accomplishments were recognized when he was inducted as a Bulkeley High School All of Fame Member. Anthony worked in the construction industry alongside his family, owning and operating Frank Mirabello and Sons Construction Company. A devout Catholic, Anthony was a long-time parishioner of Corpus Christi Church. He was a talented woodworker and truly enjoyed working in his “shop” creating beautiful pieces that he shared with family and friends. Most of all, Anthony enjoyed being with his family and friends, he will be remembered being a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone he knew.

Anthony will be missed by his children, Michael F. Mirabello (Pamela) of Ellington, Jean Muscendere (Louis) of Naples, FL., and Maria Klapatch (David) of North Kingston, RI. In addition, he leaves his cherished grandchildren, Michael A. Mirabello (Sarah) of West Hartford, Christopher Mirabello (Erin) of Canton, Christina Burke and fiancée Matthew Strandberg of Warwick, RI., Anthony Muscedere and his fiancée Carmela Micco; great-grandchildren Nicholas Mirabello, Julian Mirabello, Sylvie Mirabello and Rosalie Mirabello. Anthony also leaves his brother Frank Mirabello (Ann) of Wethersfield along with his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, Anthony was predeceased by his son Anthony Mirabello, Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Parish at Corpus Christi Church, 600 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Mt. Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Anthony’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Masonicare of Rocky Hill for their kindness and caring, especially his caregiver Charles whose compassionate care is appreciated.
