Antoinette Marie Scavetta

Antoinette Marie Scavetta, 80, of Wethersfield, formerly a long time resident of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (September 6, 2008) at a local convalescent home. Antoinette was born in Hartford on September 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Lavecchia) Scavetta. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Travelers Insurance Co. for many years. She leaves behind her brother, Rocco Scavetta and his wife, Janet of Wethersfield; her sister, Frances Scavetta of Wethersfield, and her sister, Mary Oliver and her husband Donald of Southington. She also leaves her nieces, Roxanne Sherwood, Joanne Sansabrino and her husband James, Gina Cusano and her husband Ilio, Maria Cavaliere and Tina Scavetta all of Wethersfield, as well as great nieces and nephews; Brian and Nicki Sherwood, Jimmy, Mike, Nicholas and John Sansabrino, Danielle and Samantha Cusano, Michael and Joe Scavetta and Sal Cavaliere and two great-great nephews, Dominick Sansabrino and Logan Sherwood and a great-great niece, Adrianna Sansabrino. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Angelina Coiro, Anna Fazio, Rose M. Scavetta, Joseph and Patsy Scavetta as well as her niece Donna Scavetta. The funeral is Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Luke's Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
