Antonio “Tony” Carducci, 82, of East Hartford, beloved husband for 60 years of Nazzarena (Incani) Carducci, sadly left us on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family following a battle with cancer. Born on September 24, 1941 in Pratola Peligna, province of L’Aquila, Italy, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Emilia (Rosato) Carducci. Tony came to the U.S. in 1963 and worked as a paint supervisor at Wiremold for 40 years. He was a lifetime member of the Pratolana M.B. Society in Hartford and enjoyed watching professional soccer.
In addition to his loving wife Nazzarena, Tony will be forever missed by his two children, son Donato Carducci and wife Jill and daughter Luisa Carducci and his two adored grandchildren, Chelsey Schofield and husband Justin and Danny Carducci. He is also survived by his brother, Aldo Carducci and wife Anna; his sister, Elsa Sforza; sister-in-law, Nancy Carducci and many nephews, nieces and extended family members. Tony was predeceased by his brother, Donato Carducci; his sisters and their spouses, Margherita “Rita” and Pasquale Zavarella and Lena and Dominic Carducci and his brother-in-law, Francesco Sforza.
Family, friends and others whose lives Tony touched are invited to the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield on Monday, November 6 for visitation from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
