Antonio Marfella

Antonio ""Tony"" Marfella, 64, of Cromwell, formally of Hartford, beloved husband of Franca (Sala) Marfella, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2018 surrounded by his family. Tony was born on May 20, 1953 in Naples, Italy, son of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Perna) Marfella. Tony was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, in addition to Franca, his wife of 42 years, he leaves his son, Vincenzo and his wife Kristen Marfella of Cromwell, his daughter Concetta Marfella and her husband Brian Petroni of Wayland, MA, his beloved grandchildren, Dante, Bryanna, Dymitri, Gianni and Mateo who will miss their Nonno very much. He also leaves his brother-in-law Salvatore and his wife Tiziana Sala of Rocky Hill, along with his brothers, a sister, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his grandson, Leo Petroni. He worked for CT Restoration as a general contractor where he maintained a longtime friendship with everyone he worked with and considered them a second family, especially his boss and best friend Bret. He was a member of the Pratolana M.B Society. Tony loved to work, he would always be willing to help anyone with any project they were working on, he never refused to help his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and socializing with everyone he knew. Most of all he cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral services will leave Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Tony's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 23rd from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The family would like to thank the staff on the 10th floor ICU at Hartford Hospital for their care and compassion.
