Antonio Rodriguez Marrero

Antonio Rodriguez Marrero, 83, of Hartford, beloved husband for 58 years of Maria A. Rodriguez, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Born in Puerto Rico on June 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Ramon Rodriguez and Carmen Marrero. Antonio built airplane fuel systems for Chandler-Evans, retiring after 45 years of dedicated service. His passion was rebuilding antique cars.

In addition to his devoted wife Maria, Antonio will be forever missed by his two children, Adrian Rodriguez and parter Lauren Dell’Oso of Hartford and Marisa Rodriguez and wife Donna Lombardo of Portland and his four adored grandchildren, Brianna M. Platania, Kayla R. Platania, Tia Bruno and Mariah Bruno. He is also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, July 27 at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Avenue, Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 12-3 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
