Aurelia C. Fusco (Susca)

Aurelia C. (Susca) Fusco, 76, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Renato Fusco, passed away on Tuesday (August 23, 2011) at home. Born on October 12, 1934 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Nicoletta (Latacignola) Susca. Aurelia lived in Hartford for most of her life and lived in Manchester for three years before settling in Wethersfield 14 years ago. She was employed by the Wethersfield Board of Education in the cafeteria at Wethersfield High for over 10 years. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Besides Renato, her loving husband of 55 years, Aurelia is survived by her devoted children: her daughter, Jacinta A. Fusco of Willimantic and her son, Salvatore Fusco and his wife Vanessa of Ludlow, MA; two brothers, John Susca and his wife Dot of East Hartford and Santo Susca and his wife Mary of Glastonbury; ten cherished grandchildren and seven adored great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Tom, Jimmy, Frank and Guido Susca.

Funeral services will begin on Tuesday (August 30) at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel in Wethersfield.
