Barbara Ann Ciccaglione

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Barbara (Dungan) Ciccaglione, on May 13, 2025, at the age of 86. Barbara was born in Hartford, August 6, 1938, daughter to the late Margery (Graves) and Francis Dungan. She lived in Hartford until 1993, at which time she moved to Newington.

Barbara was a strong, resilient, generous, and loving mother and grandmother, who always put her family first. In the early 1970’s, she attended Greater Hartford Community College (GHCC, now Capital Community College), in Hartford. After graduating, the college hired Barbara as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Faculty. She retired from GHCC/State of CT after 25 years of dedicated service. Barbara enjoyed her time at the college and made many lasting friendships there.

Barbara leaves behind her four children; daughter Donna and son-in-law Dominic Maselli, of Old Lyme, sons, Raymond Ciccaglione, of New Britain, and Frank Ciccaglione, of Newington, daughter Lisa and son-in-law Ken Albert, of Somers; nine loving grandchildren, Dan and Kristin Maselli, AJ and Arianna Maselli, Brendan Ciccaglione, Jaimie and Dave Dolan, Jennifer and Tom Campanelli, Corie Reilly, Billy Reilly and Alyssa Falcon, and Jason Reilly and Abby York, all who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind ten great grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Jan White, Fran and John Mastro, Carol DiCioccio, John Dungan and a very special lifelong friend, Sylvia Yeske.

For all that knew Barbara, she was a very private person. To respectfully honor her wishes, a private life tribute will be held at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield for the immediate family.

Barbara will forever be in our hearts and deeply missed!
