

Betty (Burns) Glazier, 77, of Niagara Falls, New York, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. Betty was born January 18, 1928 in Niagara Falls, New York and was the daughter of the late Gordon and Ivy (Edwards) Burns. Betty was a professional writer and lyricist, having published multiple articles, short stories, and songs. She enjoyed teaching piano and
organ to her many young students in her off hours. Betty was retired from Carborundum after 20 years of service, having worked her way up from the steno pool to being the first female Senior Engineer in the Ceramic Fiber Division. She then returned to entertaining with The Golden Gang at local Senior Centers and retirement homes. She is survived by three daughters,
Tracy Civitillo and her husband, Nick Civitillo, Jr., with whom she recently made her home, Randy Dee Glazier, Dana Price and her husband, Chris;
grandchildren, Victor, Nick, III, Jennifer, Brian, Lynette, Lynn, Michael and Sam, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be in our hearts, fondly remembered and missed.
