

Carmela “Carrie” Diana (Coiro) DeAngelis, 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Ormond Beach, FL. Born September 1, 1922 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Moved to Hartford, Connecticut and lived in Connecticut for 64 years. She retired from Connecticut General after 25 years and moved to Ormond Beach with her husband James Russell DeAngelis in 1988. Daughter of the late Girolamo and Elvira (Pellecchia) Coiro. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Russ, three sisters, Mary Latimer, Clara Blondin, Amelia Gagne and three brothers, Joseph, Attilio and Anthony Coiro. She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Carol DeAngelis, her daughter, Diana Mumford, two grandchildren, Desiree and her husband Mike Sotirin and Michael James DeAngelis II, two great-grandchildren, Michael (age 2) and Milania (age 1) Sotirin, a brother, Silvio and his wife Wanda Coiro, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 28 from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 29 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Interment at their Mausoleum in Mt.
