

Nellie A. (Senofonte) Cavaliere, 95, of Wethersfield, beloved wife to the late Sebastian “Subby” Cavaliere, died peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Apple Rehab of Rocky Hill with her son, Robert, and grandson, Michael, by her side. Nellie was born July 22, 1915 in Hartford. Nellie was devoted to her family, loved to cook, and kept our family close to each other. Nellie and Subby loved to travel to Italy to see relatives and friends, and took many cruises over the years. She was an exceptional seamstress and floor supervisor for many years at Eastern Sportswear in Hartford and did alterations on many bridal gowns for Mariella Creations in Rocky Hill. Nellie was a faithful parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield, and a member of the Young Italian-American Association. Besides her devotion for 66 years to Subby, she leaves her son Robert Cavaliere and his family, Sue Jane and grandson, Michael; her late son, Charles Cavaliere and his family, Etta, grandson, Chris and his wife, Jennifer, granddaughter, Jennifer and great-grandchildren, Reily and Richard III; nephews, Dr. Sal Santangelo and his family, and Joe Senofonte and his family.
Funeral services will be Monday (February 14th) at 10:30 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Church of Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
