
Concettina (Lisi) Incontro Piergrossi, 82, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of John Piergrossi, passed away on Monday, (May 6, 2013). Born on March 31, 1931 in Villasmundo, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Bartolo and Michela Lisi. Concettina came to America from Sicily in 1966 and worked for many years as a seamstress at Lombardi Brothers. She had a very courageous and strong spirit and her love and concern for her family were supreme. A very caring and loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Including John, her husband of 46 years, Concettina is survived by her two sons, Aldo Incontro and his wife Connie of Wethersfield and Franco Incontro and his wife Mariaclara of Villasmundo; two brothers, Joseph Lisi of Wethersfield and Michele Lisi of Villasmundo; a sister, Sarina Ossino of Villasmundo; five adored grandsons, Tonino, Nuccio, Tony, Joseph and John Incontro; four cherished great-grandchildren; two special nephews, Aldo and Anthony Lisi and one special niece, Michelle Formica, as well as several other nieces and nephews in Sicily. She was predeceased by her first husband, Antonino Incontro. A special thank you to the staff at Maple View Manor, especially Barbara ""BB"", Joy, Sandy, Seth and Lisa. Concettina's family is forever grateful and thankful for their kindness and care.
Funeral services will leave on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends TODAY from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
