

Constantine ""Gus"" Dumas, 74, of Wethersfield loving husband for 52 years of Stamatia ""Stem"" (Stamos) Dumas, died peacefully on Wednesday, (November 15, 2006) at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born August 5, 1932 in Hartford and was the son of the late Theodore and Panagiota (Mays) Dumas. Gus owned and operated the Parthenon Paper Co. in Hartford for over 15 years. He formerly worked for Ace Advance Paper Co. in New Britain for over 20 years. As a young man Gus worked for his father's restaurant business, the former Wethersfield Grill Diner in Hartford. He was a longtime faithful communicant of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, where he was a member of the church choir and also named father of the year. Gus was a member of AHEPA and Order of the Masons. He had a great sense of humor and had a passion for music, especially Jazz. His family was his life. He adored his seven grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Pandy Wohler and her husband, John of Glastonbury, Dana Sullivan and her husband, Tim and Vanessa Dumas Console all of Wethersfield, a son Ted Dumas, PHD of Eugene, Oregon, seven loving grandchildren, Diana, Alexandra and Tori Wohler, Brianna and Kelsey Sullivan and A.J. and Serena Console, two sisters, Bess Nericcio and her husband, Carl of Daly City, CA., and Mary Gamilis of Somers as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, John Gamilis. Gus was also predeceased by his devoted Great Dane, Sesame. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford with the Very Rev. Archimandrite John A. Heropopulos officiating. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield with a Trisagion Service at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Ct.
