Daniel J. Payne,

Daniel J. Payne Jr., 72, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Rebecca (Diaz) Payne, passed away Thursday (December 24, 2009). He was born November 30, 1937 in Hartford, the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Lynch) Payne. Prior to his retirement Dan, was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He enjoyed sports and was a die-hard New York Yankee fan. Including Rebecca, his wife of 39 years, Dan is survived by a brother Gene Payne and his wife Lynn of Colchester, and three sisters, Maureen Kelly of Plymouth, MA, Kathy Lessard and her husband Will of Surprise, AZ, and Patty Prill and her husband Terry of Palm Coast, FL. A memorial service will be held Tuesday December 29th at 11:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., just prior to the service.
