David Philip Bubser, 48, beloved son to Philip and Grace (Strawn) Bubser, of Wethersfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 28, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. David was born in Huntington, New York and throughout his lifetime was not only known for having the kindest and biggest heart but also his close and special bond he had with his devoted mother, Grace.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, David was passionate about his teams – the Red Sox, the Boston Celtics, and the New England Patriots were among his favorites. His love of traveling and his sharp sense of humor – to many which was met with his sweet sarcastic wit – brought laughter to those around. This infectious spirit was particularly evident in his work with students, where his caring yet firm nature created lasting friendships and earned him a special place in many hearts. Above all, David will be remembered for his unwavering love for his daughter, Camila. As a co-parent, he dedicated his life to providing for and adoring her, and the pride he felt for her was immeasurable.
David will be sorely missed by his beloved daughter, Camila; his parents, Philip and Grace Bubser and a large circle of dear friends and family.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Friday, October 10 at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Visitation will take place from 4:00–6:30 p.m., followed by a time of remembrance and sharing of memories at 6:30 p.m. David will be laid to rest privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to: Camila’s 529 education fund at www.Ugift529.com and enter Ugift code 35P-T1P
