Domenica Maria Rondinone, 90, of Cromwell and formerly Hartford, beloved wife for 44 years of the late Alfredo Rondinone, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, January 5, 2026. She was mother to the late Giovanni and Alfredo Rondinone, mother to Primo (Donna) Rondinone, Tony Rondinone and Laura (Sebastian) Milardo. Grandma Mia will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren (Nick), Tony (Corine), Marco, Jr. (Nina), Caroline, Evan (Sam) and Alyssia (Nevin) and Mama Mia to her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Meadow, Gianluca and Nico.
Maria poured her heart and soul into everything she touched with her “hands of gold” in sewing, cooking, baking and her love of creating wonderful memories to be cherished forever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
