Domenico Falleti

September 9, 1929May 11, 2019

Mr. Domenico (Dominic) Falleti, 89, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at home with his family by his side. Domenico was the husband of the late Elena (Pastizzo) Falleti, with whom he shared over 60 loving years as her sweet “Romeo”.

Domenico was born in Italy on September 9, 1929, son of the late Pasquale and Caterina Falleti. After the war, Dad moved to the USA where he met Elena and fell hopelessly in love. Six months later they were married. Dad did everything for his “Juliet”, most importantly, enjoyed her cooking. He loved her sauce, meatballs and braciola! Don’t get us started! Sunday dinners were the best! Dad enjoyed his different types of vehicles, especially his last, Cadillac, STS. In his spare time, he and Mom planted their vegetable garden and shared all their growings with their children, grandchildren and neighbors. He also loved his power tools! Dad helped relatives and friends that had a carpentry project or whatever else they needed him for, as long as it involved ‘power tools’. Making wine was another family favorite! He always shared his “vino”, and all loved it! Let’s not forget how much he loved, loved, loved “WWE”, “his wrestling”! He loved to watch it, either it be on television or, at the time, held at The Hartford Civic Center. He would drag our cousin, Tony “Bones”, with him and the two of them would enjoy a night out.

Domenico is survived by his son, Pasquale (Patrick) Falleti and his wife, Tammy of Manchester, two daughters, Nicolina (Lina) Reale and her husband David, and Step-daughter, Jamie of Manchester, and Catherine (Cathy) Falleti and her fiance, Steven Blumenthal of Manchester; two grandchildren, Charlotte Dulanto and Pasquale Falleti, Jr. and three great-grandchildren, Bella, Daniella and Leonardo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday (May 17) at St. Augustine’s Church, 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford, CT. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday (May 16) at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT. A special thank you to Dawn Allen of Athena Home Heath & Hospice Care, for the loving care and support during Dad’s final days, along with the Hospice Aides. We would also like to thank Angelic Nursing & Home Care for their immediate, on the spot, assistance when we needed them. Finally, we would like to extend our sincerest thank you to Dad’s daughter-in-law, Tammy. Who he cherished and loved. She had left her previous employment to take care of Dad and we are so gratefully appreciative, for all she had done. Also, the family would like to thank D’Esopo Funeral Chapel for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
