Dominic A. Fiengo

Dominic A. Fiengo, 91, of Hartford, beloved husband of the late Michelina (Ottaviano) Fiengo, passed away Monday (May 16, 2011). He was born Sept. 15, 1919 in Hartford, the son of the late Frank and Nancy (Cretella) Fiengo. Prior to his retirement Dominic was the manager of Wyllys Liquor Store on Wyllys Street and Fiengo's Package Store on Front Street. He was a communicant at St. Augustine Church in Hartford and a Fourth Degree Knight at the Knights of Columbus Newington Council 3884. Dominic is survived by a son, Anthony D. Fiengo and his wife Eileen of West Milford, NJ; three daughters, Nancy Kuckel and her husband Richard of Newington, Margaret Donahue and her husband Jerry of Canton and Donna Thompson and her husband Jerry of Colchester; two sisters, Elena Millstein of East Hartford and Jeanette Kekes of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren, Michele Feldblum and her husband Eric, Richard J. Kuckel Jr. and his wife Stephanie , John D. Kuckel, Andrew T. Kuckel, Gregory J. Casasanta, Anthony D. Fiengo, Jr., Matthew D. Fiengo, Jerry Thompson and Daniel Thompson and four great grandchildren, Riley Nathan Feldblum, Michaela Jacqueline Feldblum, Elliot Max Feldblum and Khloe Jane Kuckel. Dominic's family would like to thank the staff at Chestelm Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion. Funeral services will leave Friday, May 20 at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
