

Dominick Giuliano, 76, of Menifee, CA, formerly of Newington, husband of Maria (Nucifora) Giuliano and the late Rosetta (Nucifora) Giuliano, died Sunday, (January 13, 2013) at the U.S. Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda, CA. Born in Melilli, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of Salvatore and Sebastiana (Floridia) Giuliano and lived in the Hartford area most of his life prior to moving to Menifee 24 ago. He was the owner of G. & M. Home Improvement as well as the Villa Rosa Restaurant in Newington and the Brick Oven Pizza Restaurant in Hartford. Most of all Dominick loved his family and friends. He was a jack of all trades, loved working with his hands, gardening and making the most out of life and social interaction. Dominick was a proud U. S. Navy veteran. He had many fond memories of his experiences with the USS McCaffey DD/DDE 860. He was a member of the Italian American Club. Besides his wife Maria, he is survived by six children: Salvatore Giuliano and his wife, Kathy of Escondido, CA, Rose Marie Halverson and her husband, Matthew of Cromwell, Anna Marie Pisarz and her husband, George of Newington, Silvana Giuliano and Joseph Agnello of Wethersfield, Corrado Spina and his wife, Michele of CA and Rosinella Spina of CA; a brother, Nicholas Giuliano and his wife, Lena of Old Saybrook; three sisters, Fran Giuliano - Turney of Escondido, CA, Josephine Giuliano of St. Marquis, CA and Mary Marchese - Ghiorso and her husband, Ed of Escondido, CA. Dominick also leaves ten cherished grandchildren: Dominick and Anthony Giuliano, Angela Boratko and her husband, Michael, Peter Pisarz, Nicole and Brett Bainer, Jayden and Alyssa Spina and Joseph and Joshua Spina; a sister-in-law, Concetta Cormaggi of Wethersfield, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Monday (January 21) at 12 noon at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT 06109. Burial, with military honors, will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Monday, prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
