Doris Josephine (mazza) Mangiafico

Doris Josephine (Mazza) Mangiafico, 77, of West Hartford, beloved wife of Paul Mangiafico for 52 years, passed away on Wednesday, (June 17, 2009) in West Hartford. She was born in Canton, daughter of the late Victor and Adella (Chiesa) Mazza, and worked as a payroll officer at the Hartford Insurance Co. and American Radio Relay League in Newington. Doris was a member of the Young Italian American Association Ladies Auxiliary and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church in Hartford. Besides her husband Paul, Doris is survived by her four devoted children: Paul Mangiafico, III and his wife Carol of West Hartford, Michael Mangiafico and his wife Jennifer of Rocky Hill, Marie Campitelli and her husband Sam of West Hartford and Linda Ciotto of Plainville. She also leaves her eight cherished grandchildren: Matthew and Kristen Mangiafico, Michael and Danielle Campitelli, Robert, Kevin and Justin Ciotto, and Madison Mangiafico; a sister-in-law, Tina Lisella of Hartford; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Hughes Health and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care given to Doris. Funeral services will begin Saturday, June 20th, at 9 a.m. at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
