Dorothy (Searles) Adams

Dorothy (Searles) Adams, 73, of Bloomfield, loving wife of Charles Adams Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Bristol Hospital. Born in Hartford on March 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Benton Searles Sr. and Dorothy (Collins) Searles. Dorothy was retired from Kmart after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Besides her loving husband of 48 years, Dorothy is survived by her children; Sherry (Sundwall) Donald of Georgia, Charles Adams Jr. and his wife Sue of Bristol, Son-in law Albert Yanke of Bloomfield, as well as her brother Donald Searles and his wife Betty of North Carolina and sister Cynthia (Searles) Fancella and her husband Michael of Vernon as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several adoring nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her brothers Benton Searles Jr. and William Searles as well as her son John Sundwall, daughter Jane (Sundwall) Sousa, and son-in-law George Donald. Visitation with the family will be at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield from 4 to 6:30 on Friday, October 21, 2016 with a memorial service at 6:30pm.
