Dorothy (Bansemer) Roy

Dorothy (Bansemer) Roy, 90, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Richard Roy, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, on March 6, 2017. She was born May 13, 1926 to Charles and Theresa (Manner) Bansemer. Dorothy was a corporate officer and worked at her husband’s manufacturing businesses: Mastercraft Trailers; then Superior Metal Products. Her passions were her home and gardens; investment club; bridge and she became a Life Master in bridge in 2002. Dorothy was dedicated to her family and her greatest joys were the hours spent with them. She is survived by her three children; Jeanine Hartley; Dwight Roy and wife Debbie and Cheryl Larsen and husband Mark. She is also survived by grandchildren: Dan Hartley and wife Tina; Christina and Jeffrey Larsen; Dillon Roy; step grandchildren, Heather and Lily Ciarletto and she lived to see the birth of twin great-grandchildren, Jacob and Samuel Hartley. She also leaves her brother, William Bansemer and family and was predeceased by her brother, Robert Bansemer.
