Eileen W. (Poole) Diakon, 88, of Hartford, wife of Michael Diakon, died on Thursday (November 15, 2007), at Hartford Hospital. Born in Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of George and Julia (Harvey) Poole and had lived in Hartford for many years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael R. Diakon of Avon and Timothy J. Diakon of Rocky Hill; three grandchildren, Jocelyn M. Diakon, Kimberly Heil and her husband John and T.J. Diakon and his wife Misty and three great-grandchildren, Spencer, Emma and Madeline. Eileen was pre-deceased by a son Robert Richard Diakon. A great joy has left our lives and the shadows grow long. Memorial Funeral Services will be Saturday November 24, at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
