

Emilia (Cianfaglione) Vallera, 88, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Aldo Vallera, died peacefully, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Hartford Hospital with her family by her bedside. She was born December 6, 1928 in Pratola Peligna, province of Aquila, Italy and was the daughter of the late Luigi and Agata (Liberatore) Cianfaglione. Emilia was an avid Bible reader and came to know and love her God, Jehovah. She had a strong personality but had a heart of gold. She was very kind, generous and loving. Her friends were always on her mind. Emilia enjoyed singing, dancing, playing Scopa and Tombola and she loved cooking and entertaining company. Her family meant everything to her and she will be forever missed by her two daughters, Luisa Cieri and husband Ferdinando and Susan Iacobucci and husband Giovanni, all of Rocky Hill; four adored grandchildren, Robert Cieri and wife Mary, Daniel Iacobucci, Marco Cieri and wife Jessica and Jennifer Cote and husband Michael; three cherished great-grandsons, Justin Cieri, Jake Cieri and Brandon Iacobucci and her beautiful new great-granddaughter, Gianna Cieri, who she was totally in love with. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Luisa Cianfaglione of Florida, and several very special and dear nieces, Diana Pretty, Sandra Olavarria, Tina Ursin, Angela Cianfaglione and a special and dear nephew, Quintino DiLoreto as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins whom she also loved. She was predeceased by all five of her siblings, Maria DiLoreto, Berardino Cianfaglione, Lucia Pizzoferrato, Concetta DiNino and Riccardo Cianfaglione.
Calling hours will be Monday (November 20) from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield concluding with a Funeral Service at 12 noon.
