Emilio Alderuccio, 86, beloved husband of Maria (Mozzicato) Alderuccio, of 58 years, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, with his family by his side. Emilio was born on February 12, 1940, in Floridia, Province of Siracusa, Italy. He was the son of the late Vincenzo and Giuseppina (LaRosa) Alderuccio. Emilio grew up in Floridia and proudly served in the Italian Army. Initially when he immigrated to the U.S. he worked for Monaco Ford. He found true success as a real estate investor and property owner. During his career he successfully owned and managed several residential properties. Emilio was a long-time member of the Italian American Stars of Hartford, UNICO of Hartford and the Mt. Carmel/St. Cristina Society. He enjoyed attending the opera, his favorite tenor being Luciano Pavarotti. However, nothing gave Emilio more joy than spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Emilio leaves his daughters JoLinda Alderuccio, Lucinda Kulvinskas and her husband Justin, his cherished grandchildren Jake Kulvinskas and Brooke Kulvinskas. He also leaves his brother, Giuseppe Alderuccio and his wife Nina, brother-in-law Dr. Sebastian Mozzicato and his wife Dorothy along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Emilio was predeceased by his siblings, Franca Alderuccio, Antonino Alderuccio and his wife Giovanna.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Parish at Incarnation Church, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Entombment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
